Advanced Level
Beginner and Intermediate levels taught basic techniques. Hopefully these have enabled you to play with others. This course aims to maximise your musical opportunities, by developing skills in a range of styles. At the end of the Advanced Level, these skills will allow you to join with a wide variety of musicians.
Advanced Level introduces the blues scale and develops tongue blocking techniques for octave playing, adding greatly to your blues repertoire. Blow bending the top notes is introduced, which leads to first position blues. You will learn vibrato and other techniques to create your own sound.
This level also develops a repertoire of traditional bluegrass tunes. These are challenging, few harmonica players master them. Learning them will provide a rare skill.
